I refer to this character as a "Dusk Elf" because, in my mind, the color purple just isn't right for a Drow, who is classically colored obsidian black.
That being said, I have seen MANY elves in fantasy images given skin of various shades of purple, even official illustrations of Drow for Dungeons and Dragons.
